Yeah that's the tricky part, but at the very least a guy like Marchand who's been a top 10 forward two years straight isn't "underrated".

Hence why I didn't vote for Marchand.

I know it doesn't count for anything, but I put in a "Write in" vote for Pekka Rinne for goalie of the year and Hedman for defenseman because i thought it was an extreme glaring omission.

I just created a "TELEGRAM" Group for HF Boards.

If you have never used telegram, then I severely suggest you give it a shot, it's an extremely convenient and easy way 2 communicate with all HF board members in the league, talking trades, and all other events.

It's quite different than Discord, and it's more of a focused environment.

    HF Boards

It's basically the millennial skype without the hassle + a lot of other amazing features for groups.

Taking offers for these players in particular.

1 - Barkov - Aleksander Barkov | Florida Panthers | National Hockey League | Yahoo! Sports 22 years old
2 - Voracek - Jakub Voracek | Philadelphia Flyers | National Hockey League | Yahoo! Sports 28 Years old
3 - Schenn - Brayden Schenn | St. Louis Blues | National Hockey League | Yahoo! Sports 26 years old
4 - bergeron - Patrice Bergeron | Boston Bruins | National Hockey League | Yahoo! Sports 32 years od

I have two spots open for these players, Taking all offers. Msg me on here, hf boards or telegram at any time. Barkov and Voracek had monster seasons.

Which puts him in the same company as Crosby, McDavid, Kucherov, Ovechkin, and Malkin, yet I don't feel like he gets anywhere near the same credit those guys do, hence why I nominated him. Sorry you disagree, but I mean really...you're complaining about people's nominations for a category that is by definition about subjectivity.

Only replying because this is a league type issue: There is absolutely zero chance I'm doing this. You talked up Discord for a year because of how great and active and better than HFBoards it was. I finally started using it on Dec 13. In the 4 months since then, there have been about 50 posts, about 30 of which occurred before Christmas. Almost none of the posts have been about fantasy hockey, and it has been completely dead since the New Year, aside from Vanilla and I talking trades at the trade deadline. You have said exactly 2 words since the day after I joined (if "sup" and "yeee" can be called words).

Dayum...3 games too many to qualify as a rookie, that's rough.

Just because u wanna live under a rock and in the stone age, does not mean the rest of us need too.
it's not 1956, it's time to evolve with the times brock.

As for your activity problems, I dono what discord you are looking at, but the one that has me vanilla balls etc in it, is insanely active, with 50/70+ posts a day.

Telegram is not like discord. It's connected to your phone and messages appear as they come in, so it's easy to track activity, unlike discord where you need to go there to post and read, telegram has notifications.

I mean don't get me wrong I don't actually care, there's no real rules here nor does there need to be any, and we can nominate/vote for whoever we want. Just saying though for the sake of discussion, there always seems to be some odd picks in this category.

And yeah for the other thing I have no interest in joining whatever the latest chatroom app is. I generally only complete one trade in the off season and one trade during the season, so doesn't really have much use for me.

Yep, would have solved some of my problems if he had been rookie eligible (or if i had beaten CRD :ha:).

Also, no offense to anyone here, as i like most of you well enough but, I don't even spend a lot of time chatting with close friends and family so I'm not going to look for ways to chat more...HFBoards is how i do my hockey chatting and it meets my needs.

We're not going to make any of the chatrooms mandatory. If anything, the Yahoo app has its own chat messenger, which should be good enough anyways.

Okay, maybe there's some sort of confusion on my part with respect to discord. What chat am I in then? I'm in the "#premier" channel, and you show as being a member in there (and posted when I joined). If that's not the right one, then what is?

And regardless, you spent a year touting discord as the "must have" thing and then 6 months later you're touting something completely different...I occasionally like chat when doing quick trade discussions, but like Canucker said, I'm not looking to chat about nothing every day. Just bounce the odd trade idea around.

To give you guys an overview of my summer schedule. While it is not finalised, it looks like I will be in Bermuda on a research vessel investigating many of the ship wrecks in the area from about May 1st to July 1st(yes, I realise it is hurricane season but part of the research is on how hurricane's affect the sunken vessels and moves them). So for those months I will be MIA. And after that I will land bound in Quebec(without getting political--It is amusing to see to what lengths US universities are now going to prevent from being forced to send data and information to the US government on stuff that has zero to do with the government--even the southern state uni are finding ways not send info that is not complete to the government--has to do with environmental issues and anything that does not match the message from the current administration is being rejected and funding cut to make sure the "right" projects are funded") for July and August assessing the data and then will be back full time in early September.
