Not bad. My list would be

    1. Hutton
    2. Tryamkin’s rights
    3. Tanev
    4. Nilsson(don’t think he has value though)
    5. Goldobin(could see him being a throw in)

Edit: if we're including picks then bump Goldobin for the 7th. And the 7th would rank above Tanev for me and right behind Tryamkin.

    My take:

    1. Hutton
    2. Baertschi
    3. Nilsson (or lose him on waivers)
    4. Tanev
    5. Canucks 7th overall pick

    I agree
It may not be a player per say, but the 7th overall pick I think is more likely than a bunch of other players.

We will regret trading Hutton. I'll say it again.

Funny, Jake only on one list and that's as an HM. He has value and IMHO will be gone by the deadline unless he shows a big improvement next year points-wise.

I think the Hutton episode is overblown. If he comes to camp overweight, then there's something to talk about.

The real danger is the Canucks overpay to short cut the rebuild. This is where they can lose the most. They trade a pick, a prospect and a roster player to get a twenty-eight year old.

    1) Edler. Did you see his last games?
    2) Gagner. This guy has value but not to Vancouver because they do not know how to use him.
    3) Demko. He is untainted and Vancouver doesn't understand goaltending. Somebody will scoop him.
    4) Tryamkin's rights. Let him play in Edmonton so he doesn't get homesick.
    5) Seventh overall in 2018 draft. This is a valuable asset. I do not think there is a massive drop off after sixth. Canucks should hang on to it but if somebody dangles a center...?

I wholly approve of the OP’s list... now if there were only a way of also ditching Gagner and Eriksson (and to a lesser extent, Sutter), then I’d be happy.

Players I want to be traded but who will not be: Eriksson, Gagner, Gudbranson, MDZ

Players I don't want to be traded but likely will be: Hutton, 7th OA, Virtanen

Players I think it is wise to trade and there is some chance: Tanev, Nilsson, Granlund, Baertschi

Should be because they suck/overpaid/dont work here:

    1 Eriksson
    2 Gagner
    3 Gudbranson
    4 Sutter
    5 Pouliot

Should be because they have actual value:

    1 Tanev
    2 Nielsson
    3 Del Zotto

The thread title is "MOST LIKELY" to be traded, not who should be. So my list would be

    1) Chris Tanev, could be a draft day trade, but I think they may wait until Trade Deadline 2019.
    2) Nielsson, had a very good world championships so he may have value somewhere. Maybe get a 3rd for him and to make room for Demko
    3) 7th overall.... but not for a player, but instead to move up in the draft.
    4) Del Zotto, they need to make room for Juolevi on the left side and with Edler, Hutton, and Pouliot, there are 5 competing for the spot.
    5) Brendan Gaunce, when your 'breakout' year is 4 goals and he'll already be turning 25 next season. I suspect Gaunce and another player (Granlund or Baertschi) could be sent to Arizona to reunite Max Domi and Horvat. Canucks were reportedly interested when Domi was supposedly made available by the Coyotes.

No one's going to want to trade for Nilsson or Granlund.

My top 5 list would be (in order of how likely I think it is they'll be dealt):

    1. Ben Hutton
    2. 7th overall pick
    3. Jake Virtanen
    4. Chris Tanev
    5. Sven Baertschi

It's Benning's flawless strategy of buying high and selling low.

I could see the top pick traded providing it’s part of a bigger deal, where we get another team’s first back. Jake could be traded, but very unlikely. We don’t have another player like him. Tanev I doubt too. I think he plays with OJ this season. Baer has no value.

So I agree that Hutton and or #7 pick (caveats attached) are most likely.
I would add Sutter too. He’s a very sought after type of player.

Benning thinks Sutter is Toews so I don't see him trading him.

I fully expect the 7th pick and Virtanen to be dealt to Carolina for Hanifin. In fact, I'd be shocked if it doesn't happen.

You think that’s a good trade for us, or is this your belief JB will screw up?
I sure hope this doesn’t happen. I think that would be a huge mistake.

I think JB will continue to screw up and mortgage the future to push for the playoffs today.

    Most likely:

    1) Baertschi
    2) Sutter
    3) Nilsson (no trade value or manhood from what I see, but perhaps I’m wrong)
    4) Hutton
    5) 2018 1st
    6) Virtanen
    7) Goldobin
    8) Granlund
    9) Stecher

I know people have Tanev listed on here, but I think Benning wants to keep Tanev (source: 1040 radio). The ROI for Tanev would be too low right now (relatively speaking). If Tanev stays healthy this year however and gets back to his value from 2 year ago, then Benning will start to shop him again imo. Tanev will be kept this year so that he has a chance to re-establish his original value while also aiding in Juolevi’s development (Tanev will be Juolevi’s partner this year).
