A-dev's 1-0 after 1 vs Syracuse.
Goal Lappin. Assists Jacob's and Mandat.
Appleby in net. J.P. Anderson backup?
3-0 after 2. Shot's 20-14 Dev's. Gibbons and Sexton with G's. Coleman with the lone 2nd period A.
Lappin finally getting on track? 4 sog's to go along with the G.
Dev's eek it out 3-2. Move into 1st place in Division.
Getting Sexton back from sickbay is huge for them.
MBW caught that nasty virus circulating around the Albany locker room.
They signed an ECHL goalie to a PTO today.
He will likely play in one of the games I'm the next two nights.
Friday at home vs LV.
Saturday @ Binghamton (Sneak peek at Bingo for Devils fans).
Kowalsky said that everyones been battling the virus that's been going around. I know he definitely mentioned Blackwood's name so he might have it right now.
He also said something about the virus making it hard to breathe and just about every player showing symptoms at some point. I honestly wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that the ADevils keep coming out strong and then seemingly blowing leads of late. Probably more of a coincidence, but interesting to note.
Here's the article: http://blog.timesunion.com/hockey/a-devils-trying-to-get-players-out-of-sick-bay/22102/
2-1 A-devs late in the 2nd. Coleman and Lappin w G's.
Camper, Q, Sexton, Gibbons w A's.
JP Anderson in net.
I think people were too quick to give up on Lappin.
He hit the wall, but that happens to young guys.
3-3 late in the 3rd. Coleman with his 2nd a game tieing goal after Devils let a 2-1 lead turn into a 3-1 deficit.
Ah frick, 4-3 Phantoms. 2 mins to go.
Just an Oshawa Generals fan passing through to see how Appleby is doing. I went through the past thread and he seems to be doing pretty well (although some of you wanted to make my life harder by spelling it Appelby)
He's having a tremendous season thus far.
As you prob know, #1 goalie Scott Wedgewood is out for the season.
This gave Ken more starts and he earned the starting job early on over fellow rookie Blackwood who has been very inconsistent (though talented).
MBW is now out with the flu so they signed an ECHL netminder to a PTO on Thursday and he flopped last night and lost Albany the game.
Hopefully Appleby doesn't catch that nasty flu going through the locker room.
He will get the nod tonight in Binghamton.
Did people give up on him or did they just want to send him back down?
Apparently the ref made questionable (atrocious) penalty calls against Albany late in the 3rd which gave LV PPs and the game.
That coupled with the flu bug and a PTO ECHL goaltender doomed the Devils in their 4-3 loss.
Coach K's postgame presser
Pietela, Straka, Auvitu and Kuja scratched tonight due to illness/injury.
Good crowd tonight in Binghamton
Sexton scores right away
Appleby in nets tonight for the ADevs
Bingo ties it up, horrible defense by some ECHL d-man for Albany.
**Can't wait for the flu bug to leave the Albany locker room.
Game night atmosphere in Bingo is waaaaaay better than in Albany.
Just like NJ, the ADevs spend way too much time in their own zone and have trouble exiting the zone.
It's a troubling organizational trend.
Albany looks absolutely terrible tonight.
Losing 2-1 and getting dominated.
I'm sure a lot of them are playing through the flu. Those that are healthy enough.
I could see them freefall and not make the playoffs.
This is a bad hockey club.
No puck possession, always a struggle to get out of their own zone.
Appleby just let in a softy.
Getting manhandled by Binghamton tonight.
Our organization is in realty bad shape.
they are second in the division, they have a flu bug going around, and one of their most productive players is not in their lineup. And not many players from albany are ever going to play in NJ
Getting pushed around too, embarrassing.
