Xrays often do not detect hairline breaks. MRI's, CT scans do. What I think probably occurred is that Nuge had concussion protocol immediately, then some Xrays (and they have that equipment at Rogers but not an MRI) and that initially the pain probably wasn't as severe. Post injury there is often a bodies response to sensitize to pain and nerves and to produce inflammation that masks symptoms. Nuge probably felt worse over the next days at which point he likely had an idea something else was wrong.

As much as I like critiquing this org what transpired here in diagnostic latency was due to the mandated NHLPA days off in which a club cannot have a player perform any function, and not due to medical, or club incompetence.

I heard a rumour about him that I really hoped wasn't true. Hope Zack gets back in the lineup ASAP

There's still some people who would wish bad things upon a man who has done so much to turn his life around. Best to tune out those people.

SocialMedia is for very Nosey people. If they don't have something on ya, they will make it up. It's happened to myself as countless others

Not that it matters, with the season being over, but I'm curious as to what happened to Sekera last night.

    18 games played, -11.

Suckera you mean. To be fair he is coming off a serious injury, but this is addition by subtraction.

send him home, bring in some young guys from the farm. See if anyone has any game.

No, in some places they call that tanking. We'd never do that.

He got hit in the side of the head by a puck I believe. My guess is that he either cracked something or he has some sort of concussion related injury. But this is strictly a guess.

Has anyone heard anything about Nuge.

Got injured 4 weeks ago. Expected timeline was 5-6 weeks. If he was getting close you'd think he'd start skating with the team soon.

I hope he's back before the season is completely tanked.

May as well give him 6-7 weeks then. There is no reason to rush anyone back from injury at this point. Any word on the severity of Sekera's injury?

Now that Larsson is back they should just shut Klefbom down and tell him to go get the surgery he needs, because it would be stupid to wait until April for no reason.

Doing the surgery this month will give him 7 good months to recover/rehab into training camp next year so that he's fully ready and able to get some OK training in during the summer.

This would be the logical approach.

Thus I expected to see Klefbom in the lineup and on the top PP unit until the end of the season...

    But seriously just role with

    Nurse-Larsson
    Russell-Auvitu
    Davidson-Benning
    Gryba/Wavier wire claim...

And give Klefbom and Sekera the rest of the season off.

Then you'll see oilers players recklessly slamming themselves into the boards so they can take the rest of the season off too.

Nice! Puljujarvi probably can't wait for Nuge to get back into the lineup.

So what in the hell happened to Sekera? Does anyone remember where the puck hit him? Do we have to put his face on a milk carton?
